We are proud to offer Zimbra Collaboration Suite Network Edition customers the Connector for BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) beta. With this component, the Zimbra Server is able to integrate directly with BES and synchronize with all BlackBerry devices.
This is an optimal solution for organizations that have BES (or are considering it) and wish to migrate from legacy to next-generation messaging and collaboration platforms.
To use the Zimbra Mobile Connector for BlackBerry you must be running BlackBerry Professional or BES for Exchange. Network Edition customers must also have a Zimbra Mobile license and with it can take advantage of the Connector at no additional cost.
Key features include:
- Over-the-air synchronization of mail, address book, calendar in the native BlackBerry UI
- Sync to all BlackBerry devices
- Full access to Zimbra GAL
- Search messages
- Open / view attachments
- Manage calendar events; accept / decline meetings
- Administrators add / provision users directly in the BlackBerry Administration Console
Getting Zimbra Mobile Connector for BlackBerry Beta
Zimbra Collaboration Suite Network Edition customers and trial users can register for the download and install the module for free during the Beta period. You can continue to use the Connector for BlackBerry for free past the Beta period if you have a Zimbra
Mobile license.
