converting html\text to an image

hi
i tried using yahoo and google maps through zimlets. first what i did i create a jsp through which i called the functions required to get the map.(these functions are available in Yahoo and google api samples). The output (map) i am getting is in html/text format. Browsers like IE and firefox are able to convert this html/text into an image but in zimlets how shall i convert this html/text into an image. i tried html/text to image converter but its taking the snapshot before the map gets load. result, a blank popup.
