Default Development Environment for Zimlets

hi!
Is there anyone out there who can tell me a development environment for zimlets? I am not able to install zimbra at all..but I have to do a project for an exam and time is running...

I suggest eclipse with the JS-eclipse extension. I would also use Firefox with firebug for debugging.

thanks for your help!! I have to disturb you again..I have now installed eclipse and firefox and also added the necessary plugins! But how do I have to continue? I mean..what file do I have to create in eclipse..a class? an interface? ...
I have to write the code in eclipse and then debug it in firefox, did I get that right? sorry,for my stupid questions,but this is all soooo new for me..

Default Bad place to start

I think you are going to have a rough time getting an IDE set up if you are on a time crunch. Especially based on the questions your are asking. I don't mean to be rude, but helpful. I would bypass installing Zimbra and download the VMware or rPath version that is already set up. Then on the wiki visit the zimlets section and create the _dev folder, complete instructions are in the wiki.

I would use notepad or any text editor to create your zimlet.
