Customization of Asterisk Zimlet

I have been playing with the Asterisk Zimlet and am trying to improve on it a little.

As the zimlet is US centric I thought I would take a stab at adding some configuration paramters which specify the dial out prefix, international and national access codes etc.

I have a lot of it working but one thing I am stuck on is that in the asterisk.js file I have modified it to leave the '+' sign at the front of the destination number if available, my intention was to pass that to asterisk.jsp so that I could modify the number correctly.

The thing is that '+' sign seems to get stripped off somewhere. Can anyone help me with this?
