Default Hmm..

I just tested it on our own install which is running 4.5 as well and seems to work just fine. How exactly are you using it? Try dragging a conversation over the zimlet and translate from English to German.

Also, which browser are you running?

If Firefox, check the Javascript console for any *javascript* errors (not CSS). Open it before you login. You may also want to make sure the other zimlets are functional as well.

We are working with CentOS 4.4 64bit and Zimbra 4.5 and Google Translator zimlet works like a charm.
Remember to press "Translate" instead of "OK". This is an usability bug.

It's working for everyone else.

You don't say if you've got any add-ons installed, have you? If you have then disable them all and any pop-up and script blockers then clear the cache and restart the browser again and see if it works.

We had the same "problem", because we had some restrictions in the firewall, that restricted the access ("out traffic") to all domains not specified in a whitelist. This is used to avoid the transfer of data outside the authorised servers or IPs. Could you check this configuration?

Usually the Yahoo API is accessed with CURL (I don't know if this is the case). Have to tried to connect using CURL to other servers?

Regards,

Albert.

Exclamation Install problems

I'm using the last version of Zimbra running over RHEL 5 64bits...

But I can't seem to install the google translator, I get an error when when "downloading" the zip file, and then a message with a failed installation. Anyone had already this error around ?

Later:
Well, I've tryed using the console and deploying the zimlet... it tells me that deploying it works ok, but I can't seem to find it in the admin interface as module installed. Done the same thing for google maps and everything works just fine.

Thanks

A.
