ActiveCollab integration

I'm currently looking to implement Zimbra + a project management app like ActiveCollab or Basecamp.
ActiveCollab is an Open Source implementation of Basecamp functionality.
Has anyone explored integration with one or the other of these?
That would be a truly killer combination.
Personally, I'm trying to avoid implementing Sharepoint.
Zimbra+ActiveCollab would allow me to do that.

One quick way I've seen folks try is to use the RSS feed reader and iCal support to pull data from those types of applications.

RSS would get some info into Zimbra of course, but I'm more interested in the Zimlet mashup functionality being used for real activecollab functionality like approve/reject tasks, etc.

I've not worked with activecollab but after writing 20+ zimlets I can tell you it's pretty easy to hook into almost any system webbased or not. Of course the more 'Web 2.0' like the application is the easier it is. ie it's much easier to write a Flckr or Google Maps Zimlet than to write an Asterisk or Oracle PO system Zimlet.

Just had a look at ActiveCollab. Very very interesting.
Integrating would be excellent.
However its written in PHP5. maybe it would be nice to integrate a java version of this product, so it can be installed in the same place as zimbra? So that it becomes part of the package.

I'm working on some zimlets for dotProject. I'm in beta testing right now and things are going well.
