Default Creating Zimlet content or using Zimlet as link

We are looking to create/integrate a maintainance trouble ticket system like RT or HOT trouble tickets, as a zimlet.... or just mabey make an item there as a link to such a system, so we can use LDAP login info that has already been used to log them in to zimbra to identify the user.

I know this has probably already been answered but what is the ACTUAL language being used for these zimlets? It appears to be AJAX (ZTK) but I read something about JavaScript OR Java.... I was thinking PHP/Flash mabey even like the "PHP SWF Charts" (see google). Read the white paper but I am more confused now than before I read it.

You can use any language. The UI code is JavaScript, but the back end for your requests can be anything that we can talk to over HTTP. You can even use a JSP/Java to bridge to a different protocol like we did with SIP for the VOIP/Asterisk Zimlet.
