Default Canned Messages??

Hi everyone,
I'm searching desperatly for a possibility to prepare & use canned messages in Zimbra. Can't believe nobody thought about this before. Am I missing something?

What do you mean by 'canned messages'?

I mean a message or parts of messages which are typed in advance and sent again and again. Very good for customer support etc.

See a very good Thunderbird extension for example: Quicktext - Hesslow Extensions

I believe this is what you're looking for: Bug 14426 – Save e-mail as template option

The feature has been requested some time ago. You can check pm.zimbra.com to see if they are planning on including it in a future release, but I'm not aware of a timeframe.

Adding signatures in the web client that you can select can work in some situations as a workaround. There's also a possible solution listed in the bug that may work for you as well.

Thank you! But the bug doesn't seem to be on the top priority list of the dev staff.

Can somebody tell me if something like that could be accomplished by a Zimlet? Probably it just depends on if a Zimlet can insert text at the cursor position. Any ideas?
