How to show email reminders by default?

We recently deployed the com_zimbra_emailreminder zimlet for our ZCS 5.0.18 web client. Although we turned on the email reminder by default by setting the default value of user property "turnONEmailReminderZimlet" to true, the email reminders do not show up on the calendar because Email Reminders calendar is not on.

My question is, is there a way to turn on the Email Reminder calendar by default (i.e. show that calendar by default)?
