hmm. Same thing with the new version: I have a "socialize" button in the e-mail tabs, but there is not Social Zimlet tab on the top, right next to Settings. When I click on the socialize button, of course there is the message: "No accounts have been added. Go to 'Social' Zimlet Tab > Click on 'Add/Remove Accounts' to add one". But there is no social zimlet tab.

What locale/language are you using? Try using 'US English' if yours is different and see if it works.
Also, which skin are you using? Try changing to 'Beach' skin from Preferences > General

This also fixed the socialize button disappearing as well.

yes, as soon as I change to us-english, the socialize-button next to settings appears. switching back to german makes it disappear again.

Hope you can fix this.

By the way, it would be great if you add accounts for XING Business Network - Social Network for Business Professionals | XING and linkedin.
XING is very common, especially in German speaking countries. And both XING and Linkedin are more business-oriented than facebook.

Let me second that. LinkedIn would be very useful. The social zimlet is a great addition to zimbra and makes a big impact on (prospective) customers.

Here also no social tab unless using English locale.

OK, I've fixed the bug that was causing tab to not show in some locales. The attached zimlet 2.1.7 has the fix. I will soon upload it to gallery as well.
PS: The zimlet itself isnt localized yet, but should work like in English.

As for as linkedIn goes, we are working with them to provide us with api(they dont have public api as of now)

Yes, that did the trick for us. We're waiting for user feedback.

I think they will be more inclined to work with Zimbra as a whole than individual Zimlet developers, so this is a good thing.

Can you add a preference to disable the memes, diggs and memes? They confuse the users and would better be disabled by default. That would also help them find the add/remove accounts more easily.

OK, upgrading to Zimbra 6.0.3 and switching to "en_US" fixed my initial problem (-> http://www.zimbra.com/forums/zimlets...tml#post156150).

Yet I hit another one.

My twitter account got lost and I cannot re-create it.
When I say "Add/Remove Account" I choose "Twitter Account". Then it says I need to "Go to Twitter" to get my PIN but here I only get this page:

Any ideas who fix this? (Reloading as suggested doesn't help)

EDIT:
I guess you can forget about this error. Just tried to login directly via twitter.com and I get the same message there...
