Problem using dimdim zimlet

People at DimDim are working on newer version of Zimlet to take advantage of 6.x features and also will be fixing bugs. It might take couple of weeks to a month - not sure, I will keep you posted.

http://flux.mydomain.com/dimdim/ is in collaboration URL field, it does not mean that the server to be used would be http://flux.mydomain.com/dimdim/ .
The conference server you would be using might be a different server, collaboration URL is the URL which you want to show as default page in collaboration space wehn you start a meeting

If you get “room busy check failed! try again!” in zcs 6

Make a directory as
/opt/zimbra/jetty-6.1.15/webapps/zimbra/zimlet/_dev/com_dimdim_zimlet3
Place the jsp files bundled with dimdim zimlet under the above directory.


Steps to deploy dimdim zimlet in zcs 6
cp com_dimdim_zimlet3.zip /opt/zimbra/zimlets
su zimbra
./zmzimletctl deploy /opt/zimbra/zimlets/com_dimdim_zimlet3.zip
Cp /opt/zimbra/zimlets-deployed/com_dimdim_zimlet3 /*.jsp /opt/zimbra/jetty-6.1.15/webapps/zimbra/zimlet/_dev/com_dimdim_zimlet3/
Try to make a soft link like webapps/service/zimlet/com_dimdim_zimlet3 should point to
webapps/zimbra/zimlet/_dev/com_dimdim_zimlet3

This may solve the problem of “room busy check failed! try again!”

The message “meeting room is currently busy. please try again after some time.” appears when you start a meeting , then while ending that meeting you click on Dismiss button.
You should end the meeting by clicking the End Meeting hyperlink available in top right corner of Dimdim Web meeting console.
If you do not end the meeting, it will keep on running on dimdim server for the complete meeting duration you had set before starting it.
After some time when you try to start a new meeting the room busy check fails and shows you the room is already busy by displaying the message “meeting room is currently busy. please try again after some time.” Dismiss button does not end the meeting it simply disposes the dialog box.

Hi,

Even I had been searching for the DimDim Zimlet for Zimbra 6.0, but no success. Get or contribute Zimlets, UI themes, and languages in the Zimbra Gallery points to External Link of DimDim for this Zimlet (which seems to be of an older version). Moreover, the page is no longer active.

Please let me know if we still have an option to get dimdim zimlet deployed and if it could be available in near future.

As that zimlet is a user contribution I'd suggest you ask the author or go to the DimDim site and ask in their Community (or search their site) about the Zimlet.
