Default [SOLVED] Google search

I've just installed Zimbra Open Source, and would like to have Google available for web searches. After successfully installing the com_zimbra_search zimlet, I cannot find any Google search interface buttons, yet I still see the Yahoo search button.

Additionally, I can see that the new zimlet doesn't appear in the defaults zimlet list.

I would assume this would be an obvious configuration, but haven't found anything specific in the docs or online searches.

Has anybody implemented this before? If so, any tips on getting it to work?

Thanks.

I'm not sure this is even possible, I know the web search function can be disabled, but I'm not sure if the provider can be changed. It's worth remembering that Zimbra is part of Yahoo, there's little incentive to provide a competitors search product.

Thanks for the response Dirk.

The com_zimbra_search zimlet does say that it's for Google search. I would have thought that Zimbra would be a little more flexible that way, even if it provided Yahoo search as a default.

Removing it does seem to be a better option. Users would use their browsers' built in search interface anyway.

There's some info on removing it here:
[SOLVED] How can I remove the Yahoo! search box ?

There's no reason why a google option would be not possible of course, there may be a patch available to make it happen it's just that I have it turned off for all users here so I havnt looked.

The zimlet com_zimbra_search add the search option in the button to select the item type, not in the web search field.

Dirk and tdesorbaix,

I now see the Google search option, and was simply looking for it in the same location as the Yahoo Search field.

I took Dirk's suggestion and removed the Yahoo search field.

Thanks.
