Debugging the Proxy service

I'm receiving 500 errors when I try to post to a web service from a zimlet using HTTP Basic Authentication. I'm not sure whether the problem is on the web service end, or whether the request is even getting past the proxy. Is there any log written on proxy requests, or any other way to debug this that anybody knows?

First of all, there are lots of improvments in the proxy in 5.0.9, maybe you should upgrage.

There are different log files (one on the proxy server that I can not remember the name and mailbox.log on the mailstore server).

I think I've possible misstated the issue. I don't believe I'm referring to the zimbra-proxy service as such, but to the mechanism which proxies ajax requests called within a zimlet. I have a single server installation, and I don't even have the zimbra-proxy service installed.

I did upgrade to 5.0.9 without any changes in the situation.
