Question Yahoo Maps doesn't work in email

If i add an address to the yahoo maps zimlet manually it works.
Im in ireland but i've just been testing with US addresses.
Inside an email though an address appears as just text, nothing happens when hovering over it.
I have tried different ways of formatting addresses without and without commas, also in separate lines.
It never works.

Am I missing something simple I have forgotten to setup.
Double clicking the zimlet on the left and adding the address (commas or not) works fine.

Regards
Naturalblue

p.s. using FC3 with Zimbra 197

The format is sorta simple.. Try this:

2510 Fairview Avenue East Seattle WA 98102

So, just from observations while testing Zimbra (and from feedback received from our other test users), not a single address in an email has conformed to that format.
An overwhelming majority are in the form of:

2510 Fairview Avenue East
Seattle, WA 98102

and the ones that are on a single line look like:

2510 Fairview Avenue East, Seattle, WA 98102

The Yahoo Maps zimlet hasn't worked on any of the addresses I've received in my email (other than ones I explicitly created to test the zimlet). Is this an isolated instance? Do other users not see this?

Yes, I see that problem. I would suggest that it's more a case of people not realising what 'Yahoo Maps' is or they're not finding it useful. As it only handles US address they're not much use to me in France.

The current regex that identifies addresses is very simple. There are already issues open in bugzilla for this. If you'd like to recommend a new regex or some enhancements feel free.

I figured, since I had looked at the zimlet code to see what it was doing. I just didn't know whether most folks were ok with the current regex.

Most folks are not ok with it. Hence the bug reports. If you've got a killer address regex that works in JavaScript post away

My Yahoo Maps, when used, brings up the address field but does not actually display a map. Just a grey background with a "OK" and "Cancel" button. Both of which function.

Any ideas?

What did you enter for an address in the text field?
