Default Getting web application data into Zimbra

Hello,

I am new to Zimlets so I apologize if my question isn't clear (or the answer is obvious!).

I'm looking for a way for a web application to get data into Zimbra (mostly appointment/calendaring information).

One option would be for the application to provide data in XML and have the Zimlet regularly scrape that URL for new information. Which leads me to the question: Is there a scheduling mechanism that can be used for Zimbra to check (and then process) a URL independently of user interaction?

Another thought would be to use CalDAV, but that is quite a project, and (from what I can find) there aren't any rock-solid libraries for sending CalDAV data.

A third option would be for the web application to send XML to Zimbra in an email, but that would require external (and automatic) email processing, and I'm not sure if the infrastructure exists to allow that.

Anyway, any thoughts about this that anyone has would be much appreciated!

Thank you,
-Jason

Default Soap!

I've been reading some more, and it looks like I just want to issue SOAP requests to Zimbra.

Is there any existing documentation on what those SOAP requests should look like?

Thanks,
-Jason
