Question Installing Davenport as Zimlet

I'm trying to configure Zimbra to work with Samba and the first thing they say is: "Write AJAX SMB client Zimlet to mail UI" I tried downloading it, editing web.xml with my settings and deploying it using Zimbra administration console, but it did not work, so I tried, installing davenport using RPM and also editing web.xml with my settings but it doesn't work either.

Does anybody has any written help about how to install this zimlet?

Thanks in advance,

Arrow Samba-LDAP

OK, here is the thing, I'm trying to get Zimbra-LDAP to communicate with Samba Server, I did the things that the manual says, but when I try to read the OUs of my server it doesn't show anything and when I try to create a new Samba-anything I get an error message that looks awfully like Java error messages; but the wierdest part comes when I try to create a new OU, it shows me the error message, but it creates the OU and still doesn't show it to me on the Zimbra Admin UI.

By the way, I'm using

Zimbra ZCS 5
Samba 3.0.24
PAM_LDAP 180-13.12
NSS_LDAP 246-14.13
Davenport 0.9.10
zimbra_posixaccount zimlet
zimbra_samba zimlet

One more thing, my Samba server connects fine with Zimbra-LDAP using cn=config and its password

if anyone has an idea, please post it, I will try it and let everybody know if it works.

Default Davenport != Zimlet

Davenport is not a zimlet in itself. It needs to be written/converted first.

Since I'm not that great with java, I was wondering if this is getting any priority? Either in or outside Zimbra.

It certainly could be great addition to the existing samba zimblets. It would make the briefcase even more usuable in a business context, if smb shares could be added.

Alternatively it could be implemented indirectly as a mount point on the linux server.

Default Diy

Thanks for the quick reply.

I take it there isn't a whole lot going on (?). Any pointers as to where one might get started with such a project?
