It should be possible to send fax with hylafax/iaxmodem/asterisk.
What is you configuration ?

we r using freeswitch for receiving the fax through mail ..
And i am supposed to do sometihng on the client side to send the fax from Zimbra...thats wat am working on.Not sure about how to send though .. !!

it would be good if you could give me some idea regarding the Sending Fax .

you could do that following way :
use hylafax for sending faxes and in order to deliver file to hylafax - use transport maps in zimbra postfix, so it will forward predefined emails with attachment (say, sent to addresses like xxxxxxx@local.fax) to hylafax server
