Default Alfresco Send Zimlet in AlfrescoForge

Hello,

we have released a Zimlet that we used internally and is maybe useful. This Zimlet just sends mails from Zimbra to Alfresco using internally Alfresco Web Services.

Some links to this project:

Default Fews questions and another alfresco zimlet

Here is another alfresco zimlet to save mail in alfreco :
Développements libres - Starxpert
The objectives of this zimlet is different since it save the mail in a human readable .txt format and not a .eml format. It save the attached files too in the same space.

Now I tested your zimlet and it work but I have a few questions :

-What is the use of the preference editor? it ask a server url, a user id and password but even if i change them the zimlet still save on the same server and with the same user. Is this normal?

-The drag and drop of conversation work only when there is one message in the conversation. Do you plan to implement it to save real conversation (with 2 messages or more)?

-The drag and drop of multiple message doesn't work. Do you plan to implement it?

-The zimlet give an error if a mail with the same subject was already saved in alfresco? Do you plan to make something about it like asking the user the name of the file or to add something at the end of the file to save it anyway? Because it is not rare to have the same subject in mails.

Default Alfresco Send Zimlet

First of all, thank you for testing the Zimlet.

The Zimlet is a first try implementation and a product of a POC for a customer of our company. It is work in progress. That is why we are using also the version number 0.1.

The properties editor has currently no meaning, but might have in the future.

We are still in the process of defining further features for this Zimlet. We will let you know.

Best regards,

Gil

I think at least those 2 features are necessary to be able to use the zimlet on a production server.
