Default Generic J2ME build & Sanyo 700 Pro

I am attempting to connect the generic J2ME ZME client on a Sanyo 700 Pro (Sprint) to our Zimbra server version 5.0.15.

The client is hitting the server as it is returning an untrusted SSL certificate as it should. I click accept and then the client remains at the "logging in" stage indefinitely.

Is there a solution to this? Are there specific J2ME configurations required for ZME to work? The device is a MIDP 2.0 with the MIDP 2.0 Security framework enabled.

Thoughts or ideas?

Thanks
