Default j2me client's future

I am curious about the j2me client's status and future. I ask so that we can make informed decisions on future mobile platform decisions.

Is there a roadmap/timeline for GA, and for what phones? What is the current consensus on the stability of the client? Is there much demand for the j2me client (read: Is the j2me client here to stay)?

I searched around the Zimbra site but couldn't find much official information, and it doesn't seem that the j2me client is included in the product management portal (pm.zimbra.com).

Thanks!

I hear your concerns and I have them myself. I have been following Funambol and trying to figure out if I should bother with Funambol if J2ME is going to be a viable product?

A product statement of direction would be greatly appreciated.
