Default Info required about Zimbra mobile client (HTML/iPhone)

Hi,

I am just browsing thru the hosted demo version for newly launched Zimbra mobile client(HTML/iPhone).(5.0)
Based on my initial understanding i could find that this client uses simple http requests and consumes response in html format(where as standard client 5.0 uses SOAP/HTTP request and JSON response).

Please correct here if my understanding is wrong.

I have one query here,
Can I use the SOAP interfaces (from standard client 5.0) here in place of Http request genrated by mobile client.?

Any guidance or help in this area will help me a lot.

Thanking in advance.

Thanks
-Sudhir

The iPhone mobile client is a variant of the HTML "lite" client -- pretty much strictly an old-style HTML client.

The J2ME client is a completely different animal, It communicates to the server via JSON.

Thanks a lot for reply.

I want to know about Zimbra mobile client(HTML based).
Just curious to know here whether it uses the SOAP/HTTP (request) and JSON (Response) as a mode of communication with the Zimbra collaboration server.?

Any documents or any pointers to understand this will be of great help

Thanking in advance.

Thanks

No, the HTML client is HTML only. There is no JSON communication between the HTML and the server.
