Another request for Blackberry 8700-series. And if you're really bored, the 7700-series, although that's definitely not a priority.

We have a lot 8700-series Blackberries in use here (with a bunch of 7700-series as well) and neither the 8800 or Generic ZME installs work on them. Initialisation errors in media player.

I second that. I'm eager to test it out on an 8703e. I let my sales rep know as well, so here's hoping!

Default RAZR2 v9

I know that the RAZR2 (V8) is supported, but it doesn't seem to work on my RAZR2 (V9). I'm assuming not to much difference between V8 and V9 (I didn't think there would be any at all), but V9 support would be great!

So that leaves E62, E70, E90, & N91 in your 'to be tested wishlist'.
I downloaded the E61 client to my Nokia E62. It does work.... with the following notes.
1) At the login screen asking for server, user and password; no key entry seems to allow the fields to be filled in. You press a key and the cursor moves to the next field. However, by accident, I discovered if you press the "function key" ...ie the key in the lower left hand corner that has the arrow image AND at the same time press the letter M key, you will get an input field. Put in what you need, press okay it will return to the login screen.

2) The E62 askes every minute or so if it should allow the program to access the internet... kinda frustrating but ... hey, it works!

3) I use a secure connection only! (https). It works, but the E62 always asks about the certificate.... but hey, it works!

Smile Support for LG phones

LG has been an excellent platform for J2ME so far. My CU500 runs nearly everything save for any J2ME app that tries to talk to the bluetooth features.
My vote is for the CU500 or CU515. The application nearly runs now, only some quirks such as the scrolling stops once you're reading a message. Or trying to compose a message, subject and message body work fine, but you cannot add an addressee or a "cc/bcc" addressee. weirdnesses like that. but otherwise, really close!! very fast application, I get the inbound list quickly and receive email sent to the account. This is so VERY close... just a little work folks!!!!!!

Default I should add

1 of the hottest Verizon phones, LG voyager
1 of the hottest AT&T phones, LG shine
1 of the hottest Sprint phones, LG Rumor

LG may be a good phone to target for this J2ME app.
