Zimbra is happy to open up testing of our new J2ME client, or ZimbraME (ZME). ZME is an over the air(OTA) downloadable java-based application for mobile devices that allow you to access Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and tags/searches.
This application will work against 4.5 and 5.0 servers.
Only a limited number of phones are currently supported. They are:
- BlackBerry 8800 & 8820 series (Other models may or may not work, use at your own risk)
- Generic (this one can be used if your phone is not listed)
- Motorola KRZR, RAZR, ROKR, RIZR
- Nokia E61, N73
- Sony-Ericsson W950i
- Samsung SGH-E900
ZME is in early testing phases and you should only test this client if your are comfortable installing and assisting us in debugging errors.
NOTE: If you phone is not listed, please DO NOT attempt to run the application on a phone other that what the application was made for.
In our testing, this has caused serious problems. If you don't know which package to download, try the generic one. Additionally, this is beta software, and should be treated as such.
We want to know what phones you want us to support, so please post your models
in this thread, and we'll set up a poll that you can vote on.
Please feel free to post your issues, thoughts, and questions. If you feel conformable testing, please point your mobile device browser to:

(We don't have any pricing or availability information yet. This is a beta.)
