I'm running the Network Edition version 4.0.4 64bit on RHEL4 64bit. Can I upgrade directly to 4.5? Or should I upgrade to 4.0.5 then to 4.5?

The upgrade *should* detect 4.0.4 and do the right thing, but I haven't tried 4.0.4 to 4.5.0 yet. It has worked in the past for me when upgrading over more than 1 release back (4.0.1 to 4.0.3, etc).

I also have a 4.0.4 server (64 bit also) that I'll be upgrading tomorrow night so please post your results :-)

If you do a full backup, if you have a problem, just restore the backup. REMEMBER TO ALWAYS ALWAYS BACKUP - IOW, Have a Plan B :-)

Same goes for me. CentOS with all the latest updates went from Zimbra 4.0.5 to 4.5. No problems.

My 4.04 to 4.5rc2 upgrade went ugly over this past weekend:

Upgrade to 4.5rc2 failed miserably

I'd like to get to 4.5, but want to figure out what went wrong (anyone have any ideas?)

mcevoys,

Retry with the GA version of 4.5 that was just released today.
