Default Server replaced - Ubuntu 6.06 32bit 5.0.16 NE > Redhat 5.3 64bit 5.0.16

Like it says I just replaced my mail server.

Old server:
  • HP Dl380
  • 2x Xeon 3.02ghz
  • 4gb RAM
  • 4x 320gb 7200RPM SATAII drives RAID 10
  • Ubuntu 6.06 LTS 32bit
New Server:
  • Dell 2950 III
  • 2x Quad Xeon 5420
  • 8gb RAM
  • 6x 146gb 15k SAS drives RAID 10
  • Redhat 5.3 Enterprise

Using the Moving ZCS to New Server - Zimbra :: Wiki instructions the move went great. All mailboxes were restored correctly along with users, calendars, .... The OS changes and 32 vs 64 bit differences did not seem to make a difference from Zimbra's viewpoint since I was restoring from NE to a different flavor of NE.

The one thing which did not move correctly was distribution lists. Why not?

I knew this ahead of time from testing previously, and I had to manually remake them once the users were all in place.
