Default Mobil 700p question...

I have several 700p users at my company and I'd like to use the zimbra mobil. I have a few questions.

1 you can use versamail.. how about chattermail? (standard Imap?)
2 can I sync my calenday? do I use active sync for that? is that a separate (billed) service from verizon?
3 How is this setup? I did not see a comprehensive howto in the wwiki...

thanks timg

Greetings,

To take full advantage of the calendar/contact/email sync on the 700p, you must use VersaMail with an ExchangeActiveSync account type. This is a setting in VersaMail that ships with the 700p.

Setting it up is pretty simple, it will ask you three questions, hostname, username, and password and it will do its thing.

I would suggest doing a backup and hard reset of the Treo before doing this, I have seen users be more successful with the first sync doing this.

Good luck!
