When you say the sync.log is located under /opt/zimbra/log

Is that on the Treo? I'm kind of acting as the middle man in this situation so I don't have the device in front of me. Thanks

I have received the same error on a treo 700p, with the versamail update installed, and after applying the palmOS update. Note that palm pulled the most recent update because users were experiencing problems with the data service disconnecting after voice calls.

If you haven't tried already, do a hard reset and try syncing. Also be sure you are running 3.5.4 of VersaMail.

My problems with AirSamStateMachine.c errors improved somewhat when I did a full hard reset, manually prevented everything VersaMail-related from syncing (contacts, calendar, email), sync'd, re-entered all VersaMail settings, then sync'ed over the air.

It's still not happy, however. In particular, some contacts on the server aren't making it to my device. The symptoms here:
  • If I log into the web interface, I can see that the missing contacts are there.
  • If I edit a contact via the web interface, it gets pushed to the device on the next sync.
  • Resyncing repeatedly without manually editing the contact doesn't help.
