Default Details

Hi - can you provide a listing of the settings you use please?

I have unsuccessfully tried setting it up with the following details:

Connection
------------
exchange server = mydomain.com
Secure Connection = no
Access-Point = T-Mobile
Sync while roaming = no
Use Default Port = yes

Credentials
-------------
username = costa@mydomain.com/ni
password = ********
domain = mydomain.com

Is this right or what have you got?

I get 'error in exchange server please try again later'.

Thanks, look forward to hearing from you soon

Costa

Connection Settings, Incoming e-mail

username: richard/ni
password: passwrod
incoming mail server: mail.mydomain.com
Access point in use: T-Mobile Internet
mailbox name: work email
mailbox type: IMAP4
security ports: off
port: default

I think the username needs to be the one you log into Zimbra web with. I can just log in with richard as I am on the default zimbra domain, but if you have to log in with name@mydomain.com you will probably have to set this + /ni in the username field above.

cheers

Default MFE Download and version

Hi,

As you can see in my details i never had the option to specify mailbox type.

Can you run me through how and where you got mfe from pls?

I got mine from the download section on my phone.

Which version of firmware are you using on your phone?

Which version of m4e are using too?

thanks for your help

edit: Yes standard email app.

not sure what mfe/m4e is...

Am using v12 but looks the same as v11 firmware

If you go to Messaging, Settings, Email, Mailboxes, New Mailbox

The wizard's first question is mailbox type (imap4 or pop3)

Do you get this?

Thumbs up Cross-wires

Hi Bertie it's okay,

Thanks for your help - we are talking about different things.

Although you are very correct that your method works the way it should to simply sync IMAP email accounts with Zimbra.

!Google 'Mail for Exchange' for Nokia N95. (or look here )

All the best - keep up the work on Zimbra !

Default Bump - Any new information?

Trying to setup a full sync with an N95 for a client. Thus far we've tried all the information in this post and cannot get synchronization with Contacts and Calendar.

Have there been any developments for the N95 in the last year which would successfully enable this phone to be considered fully supported for Zimbra Mobile?

Nokia client on N95 will only work for Zimbra Mail, calendar & contacts won't work as they only sync to a Nokia server.

Hi Bertie.

Try http://freshmail.mobi. It's free for 7 days and they can send you an AutoConfig OTA to get you going. Will cost you $40 plus $20 activation if you are satisfied.
The engine is Zimbra but relies on IMAP IDLE to push your mail to your N95.

It has been tested and working with most N-series, E-series Nokias and most Sony-Ericssons. The OTA will configure for SSL (proper certificates not the Zimbra Self-signed).
Funambol is also running to allow your N95 contacts to be saved for future retrieval.
