Default Forum handling of back and forward slashes?

No wonder I was confused about the direction of the slash - the post in the forum contained a back slash but the notification email I received used a forward slash:

Here is the message that has just been posted:

Nope. The forum is fine. I typed the wrong one, and when I submitted I realized, and edited the post

So is it /ni or \ni.

The bug report you quoted above uses /ni.

And what is the actually format I should use for the username:

username/ni@domain.com

or just

username/ni

I can't see how the second one would work as this Zimbra server has multiple domains.

I'll try with the first format.

Bugs don't always have logic, so I just wanted to see if it works.

If it doesn't, add yourself to the CC list on that bug, and vote

Default /ni works with v4.5.6

I see that the "/ni" username switch (disables the IDLE extension for the duration of the IMAP login session) was only added in v4.5.6.

I tested this with a client who is running v4.5.6 NE and it works - with the /ni switch after the domain; ie: username@domain.com/ni.

I'll upgrade my server running v4.5.5 open source to v4.5.6 tonight and I'll report back if it doesn't work.

While it is good to get this working, the IMAP idle functionality is a key feature for phones/handhelds as it would provide push email.

It was one of the features I checked for in the IMAP client of the S60 3rd Edition software.

Glad it worked.

We are in the process of QAing this to solve the problem.

If you CC yourself on that bug, you'll be able to know when it'll be fixed, and any progress updates.

Cheers,
john

Cool Zimbra, Nokia N95 and IMAP

Hi,

I resolved this issue by purchasing Profimail for the Nokia N95.

Its a great program and good value for money.

Thumbs up Nokia Business Software

I just wanted to let you Network Edition people out there know about Nokia's Business Software. There's no need to use 3rd party software in order to get over-the-air syncing to work on the N95. Just download Mail for Exchange and set it up for Zimbra.

Works like a charm. In fact I've had some unpleasant experiences with DataViz previously.
