Any update on this you can share? I'm very interested to see if Zimbra will support push email with the iPhone.

Default I think it will work out of the Box

While reading Mossberg's review of the iPhone he mentions that it can connect with email systems using active sync, while Apple has yet to release specs on this I can only assume, and hope that this same connection will work with zimbra mobile in the same method. Now, anyone want to buy me one so I can test?

More evidence of the iPhone being compatible with Zimbra ?
More evidence of iPhone's Exchange support and RSS reader - Engadget

Default Activesync?

If the rumor that Apple licensed Activesync from MS holds true, some interesting possibilities would open up for those of us who use ZCS Mobile. It's been very useful for my Treo P/W users and it'd be great to welcome Apple's device to the club.

As soon as I can silence the cognitive dissonance created by the thought of a $600 cell phone.

Rumors also talks of a webdav access to Exchange (not ActiveSync)...

If it's not Zimbra Mobile compliant, it's a $600, not available in Europe (yet), brick of silicium and plastic 8)

I too picked one up yesterday. Gotta say it is a great device, lives up to the hype. IMAP obviously works fine for e-mail from Zimbra and you can do the wired sync to get your calendar and contacts (which are synced from Zimbra with the iSync Connector).

I'm excited to see what the future holds with Zimbra and the iPhone
