The Network version of Zimbra, which is supposed to come out fairly soon now, will support mobile clients. Some additional details on the Network version:

What's in the Open Source Edition vs. Network Standard Edition

Just to make sure we set the right expectations the first Network release will not have Blackberry support. Once we release our Outlook plugin you'll be able to do desktop sync of calendar/contacts and IMAP for mail. Once we release BES support you'll get 100% over the air sync.

Default BES Support

Will the "BES Support" require running and/or licensing an actual BES?

Do I need a MSFT machine?

Default BES Server

Sorry, this may have been overlooked..?

Does the Blackberry support require a "Blackberry" BES Server. Also, are you all watching/worried about their current IP troubles?

Yes it will. The wireless protocol is Blackberry's so you must use their server. However ActiveSync support will not require another server, and with our Sync4j connector you can use their Open Source server if you'd like. So there will be other options.
