Zimbra mobile & Treo 650

I have a very strange problem using Zimbra Mobile and my Treo 650. I can set everything up and it works fine. The problem comes up basically every Monday. Once my inbox has more than 50 messages to sync, it craps out. As it tries to sync the inbox it goes very quickly on messages 1-25 and then much more slowly on messages 26-50 and then hangs. After that, it won't sync at all. I have to delete the account, re-create it and hope that it works. Once I get past this, it works fine. I know that a workaround is to pull messages all the time, but I'd rather not do that.

The error I receive is:
There was a problem syncing messages. There was a problem syncing messages. Please select the Sync button to try again.

If I click the Details button on the error message, I get this:
AirSAMStateMachine.1174103

Any suggestions?
