Default Zimbra Mobile and OpenSource Edition

It's only on the network edition, which I highly recommend. It's a bit extra on the network edition. It does not come standard, but it works very well.

Ahh I see, I know there is the option of a backup solution and ical support in the Network ed.

I would love to be able to afford it but at present the Community Edition is doing okay for me.

What is the benefit over just using a smart phone configured with pop3/imap/smtp emails? (I bet you are going to say calendar ~;0)

cheers

Default Benefits of Network Edition

1. Tech Support - that is one thing I hated about Exchange. We had a server go down and I mean down, it took a team of Microsoft Engineers (not consultants) but Microsoft guys to get it back up. Took them 12 hours after I spend a day on it, the consultants spend 4 hours on it. It was rough.
2. More Tech Support
3. Outlook Integration and synchronization and you guessed it calendar sharing
4. Mobile
5. Did I mention tech support!

Also, my company has an extensive disaster recovery plan. If something were to happen to me they want a number they can call and get help and answers.

Angry E70 Works well ... except for

My E70 works quite well, but there is an annoying zimbra bug when writing appointment notes/descriptions containing newlines ... unfortunately the zimbra bug people don't show any interest in this bug ... maybe this helps ... http://bugzilla.zimbra.com/show_bug.cgi?id=13258

Default Hey, give us time!

You entered that bug a few days ago. We can't always replicate, diagnose, and fix bugs overnight...

Default Xv6700

I have been using the XV6700 since the Zimbra Mobile beta and it works extremely well.

Default Sony Ericsson M600i

Hi,

I have a SE M600i using Roadsync (comes bundled with the phone, at least in Germany) and it works like a charm. And now wit 4.5 we finally have push mail. Great!

Thanks to the devs.

Default "push" email?

Under what's new in 4.5 the press release mentions Zimbra Mobile now supports "push" email to devices . What does this exactly mean, is this a reference to NotifyLink Enterprise Solution for Zimbra or is there something more that I'm missing?

Zimbra Mobile seems like a very exciting yet very hideous module. Is there a way to try it before paying USD500 for it?
