Default Dataviz's Roadsync with Zimbra ?

Hi folks,

I'd like to know if Dataviz's Roadsync product (allowing a synchronization between a mobile phone and an Exchange 2K3 SP2) is supported on Zimbra.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Best regards,

Nicolas.

That would depend on a) which version you're talking about (NE or OSS) and b) what you mean by 'sync' ie just mail or contacts etc. as well and c) which type of phone you mean ie WM5 or Palm, Nokia etc devices.

Hi Bill,

thanks for answering.

Of course I mean a NE of Zimbra, I want to sync emails, contacts and agenda, and on all mobile phones supported by Roadsync : see http://www.dataviz.com/products/roadsync/index.html

Thanks.
Nicolas.

Hi Nicolas

There's no real experience with that product but the feeling is it should work. There's only one definite way to find out - try the trail of Roadsync with Zimbra.

RoadSync is meant to speak with an Exchange 2003 server, using "Microsoft Echange ActiveSync" protocol, as seen here : http://www.dataviz.com/products/road...ile/index.html

I'm quite sure this is not going to work with Zimbra NE.

There are other third party tools/servers working with Zimbra NE.

Hello Klug,

not sure this won't work : Treo 650 uses also Activesync, and is reported to work with Zimbra NE, see : http://wiki.zimbra.com/index.php?title=Palm_Treo_650

If it *should* work, we tried a quick test to install it on a Nokia E61 but the install hung. If you have a phone which has it installed you can just point it to your Zimbra server and try to sync. Any reports working or not would help us and others.

Folks,

I tried Roadsync with ZimbraCS NE on my SonyEriccson P910i, and it's working perfectly !
I just added an entry on the Wiki, and I think that all devices mobile devices supported by Roading (see http://www.dataviz.com/solutions/ent...d_devices.html) should work with ZimbraCS NE / push mail.

Regards,
