RoadSync is not "officially" supported because there are many versions on different platforms. I've been using RoadSync S60 on a Nokia E61 phone and my experience is it's more stable than the Mail4Exchange client from Nokia. However this is anecdotal information because our QA has not yet tested RoadSync clients.

In the past we have recommened RoadSync client to users who experience various issues with Nokia Mail4Exchange client and got good feedback from those users. So at least on Nokia S60 platform there are multiple independent success reports.

Some more anedoctal evidence:

- RoadSync for UIQ2 devices works without problem, including push email.
- RoadSync for J2ME works also (bear in ming that the J2ME version has some limitations, e.g. no push email and no calendar/tasks syncing). The irony is that, while the J2ME RoadSync works, the native MOTOSYNC ActiveSync client of my Motorola A1200 always gives me "Authentication Error" when trying to connect to Zimbra.

Also, Dataviz lowered the prices. It's now $49.

I tested Roadsync for UIQ (SE P900, SE P910, Motorola A1000) and Roadsync for J2ME and both worked with Zimbra Mobile.

(And now for the fun part: on my Motorola A1200, Roadsync for J2ME has worked, while the native MOTOSYNC ActiveSync support hasn't)

Default RoadSync works partially

Encouraged by these reports, even somewhat old, I tried RoadSync evaluation version with my hosted Zimbra and my excellent Nokia E71. Success was partial, some might say even minimal.

E-mail sync was fine, even subfolders work. Calendar would not sync (would not even start, got Symbian error -6). Tasks would start syncing but ended up with server error 500. Contacts would sync, but apparently one way only (mobile -> ZCS).

So no RoadSync for me. Even if Mail4Exchange has got its own set of problems 2/3 of my key features (e-mail and calendar syncing) work there. Tasks I haven't succeeded in syncing yet, which is a bummer.

I just installed on my E71 and initially it was having problem on syncs - it connected fine and cleared fine, but then it would die.

I checked all parameters, made sure my email and calendar on device was overwritten and now it is chugging along fine.

I get my subfolders and that was what i wanted/needed.

I will let you know if I encounter problems.
