Default iPhone 4G with Exchange would not work

Hi

I use "Release 6.0.7_GA_2473.UBUNTU8 UBUNTU8 NETWORK edition".

I turned on the "Zimbra Mobile" option in the Admin UI and tried to connect to Zimbra with iPhone4G (iOS 4).

Mail address: testiphone@mydomain.local
Domain: mydomain.local
Useraccount: testiphone
PW: **************
MailServer: zimbra.mydomain.local

After this I get something like this:
"Exchange account verfication failed"
This seems to be an SSL problem.
[SOLVED] iPhone and Zimbra Mobile Exchange

So I ignored the message and saved the account. I turned of the SSL option in the "Account Information" on the iPhone. After that no message appear.

But checking mails or sending mails does not work. I get an error.
Is there something special that I have to check first?

Found the failure.

It seems my firewall blocked me. Without SSL it works now.
Is it possible to get the sync working with SSL? Security is always good

Even with a self signed cert it should work just fine ... well it did on the iPhone 3G I had.

I've seen this with older iOS versions, but if you are using an iPhone 4 then this shouldnt be the case. Either way, try to access the web front-end using safari on the phone and accept the certificate when it alerts you, then try to setup the sync again.
Or configure the exchange account using iPCU downloadable from apple.
