6. I forced a sync of the Calendar on my Pre

In the past I always had to delete my Pre Exchange account, restart the phone and then re-setup the Exchange account on the Pre.

This was much easier. If it stops syncing again I'm betting I'll find some odd entries in my Outlook calendar that are causing the issue.

I hope this works for you!
I tried this, found some old recurring appointments, deleted them from zimbra, but same problem. It took 4 days this time, but my calendar and contacts have stopped syncing AGAIN. Someone deleted my last post where I said I have reached my last straw and am going to a different server. I am annoyed as the other EAS sync issues for pre (outlook/exchange) have been solved and this has not. There is a fix for this, but it's not on the devices side.

BTW, not being able to use recurring appointments in my calendar is unacceptable BS.

Have you (or anyone else) actually filed a bug report for this problem? That would be the correct place to file a report, posting in these forums does not get the problem in front of the developers.

It seems that this problem has not been resolved. I have a new Pre and it has exactly the same problems as described in the original and subsequent posts. We are checking to see if a bug report was ever filed.

A bug report has been filed, and the issue has been marked as fixed in version 6.0.5.

I have kind of a complicated workaround, but it has worked for me:

1) I set up a google calendar account and started using Thunderbird/Lightning as my desktop client. I was only able to configure the DAV version of my Google cals to work with Lightning, but they work. This way I can also have multiple calendars sync to my Pre.

2) In Zimbra, I was able to add these shared calendars, so my employer can access my free/busy times when scheduling meetings. There is a network address for every google calendar in ics format and these can be accessed by zimbra.

3) So, my email is still synched by EAS, but my calendars are all google - with Zimbra picking up any meeting I schedule or change on the back end. Is it ideal, no. But limiting the effect of EAS on my life has save SO much time.

This problem seems to have been solved by the upgrade of WebOS to v 1.4. It did it for me, anyway.
