Syncing small subset of contacts

Hi, I'm using iPhone with an Exchange connection to Zimbra. When I turn on my contacts, it syncs my entire zimbra address book to my iPhone contact list. Is there any way to sync a subset of my Zimbra contacts, and not all of them? What I would ultimately like to do, is tag contacts that I want sycned, so just tagged contacts end up on my iPhone. Any way of doing this?
