Default iPhone + Shared Folders

Is it possible to see shared folders on the iPhone? I thought at one point I could see my shared folders, but after either a zimbra upgrade or and Itunes upgrade, they (shared folders) are no longer showing up on the iPhone,

OK..shared folders do not show up using an exchange type account on the iPhone....

Using an IMAP account on the iPhone, the shared folders do show up....

Any reason shared folders do not work with the Exchange type account??

Thanks

I think shared items are requested in Bug 30950 – iphone: sync with shared contacts and calendars

I have a bad hacky workaround for viewing shared calendars--it entails creating a new calendar and subscribing to the public shared calendar as a URL (e.g. https://zimbra.yourdomain.com:443/ho...redcalhere.ics) but this has some limitations:
- Calendar has to be public, not the best security practice
- Calendar has to be manually refreshed in Zimbra
- Calendar is read only

...And probably a whole bunch of other things I forgot. But it does let you VIEW a shared calendar. At least on a technical level it is fun and functional.

Enjoy,

Chris,

I was not really looking for shared calendars on the iPhone, even though this is good information. I was looking more as to why a shared email folder will not show up using the exchange account on an iPhone. Probably one in the same though.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums

How does your question relate to the Zimbra line of products ? Perhaps you would be better contacting Homestead support.

Yes but you need to contact the Homestead support desk. Zimbra is the software provider and Homestead hosts your email and we have no access to your account or the servers that host your mail - they are responsible for looking at any problems you have.
