| | | Palm Pre It looks like the Palm Pre will handle the Exchange ActiveSync protocol out of the box. I'm really hoping that things will Just Work with Zimbra. I don't know if they'll be supporting multiple calendars (like iPhone can).
Is anyone at Zimbra hooked up with Palm to get specifics on the Pre capabilities? |

| | I'm hoping so as well. All the specs I've read says that it will support EAS out of the box, so I assume Palm is continuing to license the activesync protocol from Microsoft, same as how they do on Versamail.
As soon as the Pre comes out, and I know it works with Zimbra I'll going switching from my Sprint Q9c to the Pre right away. It looks pretty sweet!!!

| | | My Prē is working nicely I'm happy to report that everything is working nicely with the Palm Prē that I picked up over the weekend! It doesn't seem to see multiple calendars like the iPhone does, but since you can sync Google Calendar and Zimbra at the same time, I don't need it! |

| | It took me a bit to figure out how to get my self-signed cert on there, but once that was behind me there were no problems.

Anyone know if this is a Zimbra or a Pre issue? |

While we have a wildcard certificate for our domain, we have one specifically for our mail server. RapidSSL charges $69/year, but if you buy a cheap certificate say from GoDaddy for $29.99/year, you can do a competitive upgrade to RapidSSL for free. (The GoDaddy certificate did not work with the Palm OS based Treos, so we went with RapidSSL.) |

The installed the cert to the certificate store in the phone. See this link for help: Palm Support : Installing self-signed certificates
