Zimbra Sync with Android through TouchDown

Doesnt appear to work with OS version since it does not have Zimbra Mobile / ActiveSync. Any way around this?

Can't use ActiveSync or TouchDown with OS version. Only workaround there is to use imap/pop3, which are supported with the g1's integrated client.

Correct, that's a Network Edition feature (which is what this thread is about). As mentioned above you could use imap/pop or if you're adventurous you could also use Funambol (search the forum for details).

Try: LVContacts Sync for Zimbra and Google Android™

LVContacts currently syncs the following items between Zimbra (including OpenSource) and Android phones: Contacts (multiple address books), and shortly (in November theoretically) (multiple) Calenders and Tasks. Eventually they are aiming for email folders. In the meantime, you could you Imap or Pop, and use LVContacts for tasks, events, and contacts. (It doesn't use ActiveSync as the sync protocol).

Hi,

LVContacts 1.9 has been released and it adds many new synced fields from Zimbra that were not synced before such as company and every e-mail/phone/IM/URLs/address fields.
It also fixes a few bugs.
This is the last LVContacts release (except if there are few bugs reported to fix), this is a transitional release before LVSync which will replace it soon.
Sorry again for the delay, we were announcing September at first but we're now definitely over schedule and I won't announce any new release schedule by now, the only thing I can say is that we're not so far from it.
