Doesnt appear to work with OS version since it does not have Zimbra Mobile / ActiveSync. Any way around this?

Can't use ActiveSync or TouchDown with OS version. Only workaround there is to use imap/pop3, which are supported with the g1's integrated client.

Correct, that's a Network Edition feature (which is what this thread is about). As mentioned above you could use imap/pop or if you're adventurous you could also use Funambol (search the forum for details).
