ActiveSync HTML email not working with Zimbra Mobile

Has anyone been able to figure out a workaround for this? I am using an htc touch pro 2 with winmo 6.1. I can stop syncing and change it to html and it will send 1 email out html but as soon as it syncs it goes back to plain text. But, I have seen non winmo devices use html format all the time with Zimbra, so it makes me think it is an activesync issue.

Ok, I found a workaround in this thread: Encoding & Charset on replies you sync calendar/contacts/tasks with activesync and email with imap. The only downside is the fastest I can sync email with imap is every 5 minutes but that isn't a big deal to me.I have tested it and it formats all email as html.

I reproduced this problem with symbian s60v5, and android 2.1.
