| | | Email Sync? I wrestled with installing the Funambol Zimbra connector for the past few days and I finally got it to work. I'm really happy with the ability of it.
One thing I was wondering was whether email push syncing was available, or if regular syncing was available at all. One of the posts a few pages back stated that it wasn't. Push email would probably be one of the biggest pluses for me with this system.
I can understand if it isn't available. The work you've done so far is amazing! Keep it up! |

Well i don't care if it is https or not.
Could you tell me where i can change this? (remove the https) or could you tell me what else i should change if i do use https? either way it is ok with me as long as it works. | did you correctly followed this guide: SourceForge.net: zimbrafunambol » installation-guide
?

| | | yes, i followed this installation guide.
I also have the answer about the https:// in the log files:
I have a few other calanders connected with mine in zimbra. These calanders are connected trough https://
So it is not the connection between funambol and zimbra but between different zimbra calanders |

| | | Wolfroma, thanks for your great contribution.
I have Funambol working fine, but if a Zimbra user changes his/her password, then Funambol begins to fail, with authentication errors shown on both the client and server sides. Is there a way to have Funambol query Zimbra to check if a password is correct instead of maintaining its own database? I tried EmailOfficer.xml as an officer, but didn't have any luck. Any help is appreciated. |

I'm add new class - the officer ru.korusconsulting.connector.funambol.ZimbraOffice r. For test this class you should update from svn and set it as Officer: in the funambol admin gui.

| | | Funambol Connector not correctly syncinc I originally started out trying to sync my BB using the Funambol BB client, when that didn't work, I tried Blackberry-Sync - that too didn't work. I then tried the demo java client - that also didn't work correctly. The problem is this - if I have a calendar entry on the client, then that will be entered into the Zimbra calendar. However, entries on the Zimbra server are not passed to the client. Further, on subsequent syncs, the entry on the client is added again to the server. It seems to me as if Funambol is not seeing the calendar entries on the Zimbra server.
Some logs ....
On the Java Demo Client I have one calendar entry, similarly I have 1 (different) entry on the server. On Syncing I get the following messages
2008-05-13 10:58:40:555 - # SyncClient API J2SE Log
10:58:40:573 [INFO] - Synchronizing...

10:58:41:296 [INFO] - Sync Exception: java.lang.NullPointerException
10:58:41:315 [INFO] - com.funambol.syncclient.javagui.MainWindow synchronizenull
The entry on the client appears in my Zimbra calendar, but the Zimbra entry does not appear on the client.
On syncing again I get a duplicate entry on my Zimbra calendar and the log is identical to above (except it says "Error setting the item 303")
I've attached the relevant ds-server.log
Versions:
zcs-5.0.6_GA_2313.RHEL5.20080522104341
ZimbraConnector_0.5
funambol-6.5.14
Please let me know if any more info is required. |

| | | More logs I've just realised I should have put the demo client into debug log mode. Attached is that log. |

| | Deleting from calendar - appears to be solved I upgraded the connector to 0.5 from 0.4.99, reset all data on client and configured new sync setup. Now also calendar entries are deleted on client. I don't know if you changed anything for the 0.5 version, but things seem to work fine now.
I'll close the bug report I created, and huge thanks to roccogalati and others for looking into this!
