Any plans on how support for OTA in 3.1.4 and 3.2 will evolve?
For the E61 make sure you get the latest client from Nokia's site. You must be using the 3.2 Beta Network Edition to try this. We currently have not implemented the 'always on' ability it will be in a future release.

Of course I'm using the "latest and greatest" release from nokia's website. But I can't seem to sync calendar entries.

Also, it would be nice if this worked with the GA release. We can't sell a beta to customers, but OTA sync is often requested by customers.

Default Another plea for Palm Desktop support

I would also really appreciate a direct conduit to Palm Desktop. I know you are focusing your attention on breaking the Outlook/Exchange world domination, but there are a number of people out there that use Palm Desktop for calendaring and contact management.

Default Syncml

I want to use the Nokia Communicator series. They have native syncml. The Nokia active sync software is a no go since I am a Mac user, unless they have added support for Macs. Unable to get the software installed. Maybe through Parallels...

Default Series 80

As my above post states, I would like to use a Nokia Communicator. They run Symbian 7.0S OS (series 80 platform). Will this work? Also, I only see Nokia PC Suite available not the other software mentioned.

We don't have SyncML support today but it's something we plan to add in the near future.

Angry Its the Cell service providor that Drives this not US!

We have to look at this in the real world folks!!

What we have strapped to our belts is usually the best of what we have found with respect to cell phone service providers and NOT what we would like to have!! Or what was handed to us from an employer footing the bill.

Lets face it that Nokia end points are the world's largest number of customer units.

This means the we are stuck with the cable or bluetooth Nokia PC Suite or other tools that Nokia cell phones work with??

Now lets get Zimbra to talk to the largest portion of units in the world and we can take Bill Gates out of the equation!!

Default E90 Communicator Working

I got my hands on an E90 Communicator. It is a series60 v3 phone. Nokia provides a Mail for Exchange (M4E) program in the downloads folder on the phone.

After installing, M4E would not work. After scratching my head and lots of reading the problem came down to the ssl cert on the server I receive my Zimbra services from. That ssl cert is signed by a company that appears not to be included as a trusted root ca.

To solve this, I downloaded the signing company's CA chain. I needed to convert it to DER. Then uploaded it to the E90. Using the file browser, found the file, opened it and the phone asked if I wanted to add it. After that, M4E worked.
