Question iPhone 3G and Push setup

Hello. I'm a new registrant to this board, but I've browsed through them quite a lot in the last couple of months as I've been evaluating the Open Source edition of ZCS.

Recently, I moved our installation to the Network Edition so that I could test out the new "Push" feature for the iPhone (via the Exchange mail option). Most of our executives have iPhones and are desperately looking for a push type functionality for their mail and calendars, rather than waiting for the device to look for new mail every 15 minutes.

The mobile version of the site through Safari is great, but unfortunately doesn't notify you of new messages, and therefore isn't ideal. I'd prefer not to use IMAP or POP3 as well. (15 minute delay)

I have been working on the configuration of both, the server and iPhone for 2 days now and still cannot get it to work properly.

I've searched the wikis, the forum, the FAQ's... and can't find anything that points to an obvious mistake on the part of my configuration.

Where is the best place to get a step by step walk-through of configuring both the server, individual accounts, and iPhone for this great Push feature? I've exhausted everything on my end that I can see.

    Thanks in advance.

    Jason

So.. you're not able to get the account setup using the "Exchange mail option"? Have you enabled the "Zimbra Mobile" feature of the accounts you are working with?

    Also, welcome to the forums

Yes. I have turned on the Zimbra Mobile feature for the account I'm testing (mine).

On the iPhone, I created a new Email entry using the Exchange option, and of course.. put in all of the relevant information regarding the server and my account.
    I turned off SSL.

The account seems to set up, but when I go to look at the mail, all I see is an Inbox (with no mail in it). No other folders are shown... and when trying to send mail from this account it won't go through.

Ok, anything in /opt/zimbra/log/sync.log for your user?

Hmm.. looks like something is up with the license.

Perhaps a Zimbra employee can help out?

I guess I'll just be patient and see if a rep from Zimbra can chime in with a suggestion.
As far as the license goes... the server seemed to take it ok, and I don't have any other messages of a bad license number. However, when the ZCS was still in Open Source, I had already created over 100 accounts on it (not all used)... and I know that the Network Edition (trial) only allows for 50 to be created. Maybe already having well over 50 is causing an issue.

Have you purchased the mobile license? If not, you probably not see the option to enable mobile.
