Default Palm Treo w/ActiveSync - Random Messages not syncing

I have two user reports that are indicating that random messages just don't sync down to their Treos. Both are using the ActiveSync profile in VersaMail. From the logs, it shows the messages going to the devices. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

My gut feel is that they are wrangling for new devices (specifically Blackberry). The server side is: Release 5.0.6_GA_2314.RHEL4_20080522092131 RHEL4 NETWORK edition

One user is running a slightly outdated Treo 700p and the other is a 755p which is fully patched.

Thoughts?

I use a Treo 700p and use it with my Zimbra account and gmail account. I haven't seen it with ActiveSync, but with my gmail account, if I read a message on my computer it won't show up on the phone. The phone will only pull down messages that are unread. This is going over IMAP, so probably completely unrelated, but I have seen missing messages.. Are you sure they're setup to use ActiveSync? We have a few users with Palm devices and no one has reported that using ActiveSync.

Perhaps I should use that as an excuse to get a new phone too

Well, I should clarify, that these are users who are away from their machines and haven't checked their mail from their desktops, only from their phones.

I had one user that was on a Treo with Versamail have the same problem, just the other day. I chalked it up to one of the many Versamail issues we have encountered.

We did not solve it, just replaced the phone with a Windows Mobile device instead.

Hmm.. that's the version I'm running and I haven't noticed that. Have you deleted the account and re-added it on the phone? That's all I can think of..

Hmm, Not sure what to tell you.. Most likely a quirk in Versamail as playnada said. Have you both seen it happen on every Treo 7xxp that you've worked with? We have a number of Palm users and haven't heard anything, though I'm not sure how many Treo 7xxp's.

I'll make you a good deal on a Treo 700p that does work I had my eye on an iPhone anyway.

Funny stuff

This client has 20 or so Treos (700p and 755p). 2 users are complaining. We have dozens of Treo users in our hosted environment, no reports of issues.
