Deleted items not being removed from Windows Mobile

I have a user that is using Apple Mail via IMAP on his desktop to read mail, when he deletes something in Apple Mail it does not delete on his Windows Mobile device. However if he deletes it via the Web Client it does.

Any way to fix this?

From withing the Apple Mail client they need to EXPUNGE the account so that any tagged mails for deletion do actually get deleted from the IMAP store.
