(Glad that looks that Motorola implemented HTTP auth correctly in their MOTOSYNC clients for newer Linux phones. Maybe because these phones are being/will be sold on the US?)

Hi there,

First post here but thinking about shifting from Gmail to Zimbra.

One thing I was very interested in is push email to mobile - in particular the Motorola V8. Looks like motosync worked for people here - is it push though, like on a WM5/6 phone or blackberry?

So, if I get a new email on Zimbra, will it appear automatically on the phone? and does reconciliation work both ways instantly? Also, is it constantly drawing data, or just the odd kb here and there (save for when it is actually downloading a new email)?

Hi, I have the motorazr2 v9 and the initial sync. (using motosync) seems to work fine, but subsequent syncs fail. The error log simply notes that no information has been synced in either direction and gives no further details. Is this a flaw with motosync or zimbra which anyone else has encountered?

The only way to tell is from the sync.log which is located under /opt/zimbra/log. Does it show any activities?

The folder /opt does not exist on either the phone or the media card. I cannot find anything.
