Default Licensing question

Hello,

We are currently testing the Zimbra Network Edition. We are really satisfied about the Outlook integration and mobile client. For our law office it's very important to have a product that doesn't violate any license. That's the reason why i still have one question, where I couldn't found the answer on the forum or the website.

What I recently understood is that the Activesync protocol is intellectual property of Microsoft.

If i'm right, Zimbra has also implemented this protocol to have native support for Windows Mobile based PDA's and Smartphones.

Does Zimbra also have a license agreement with Microsoft to use the Activesync protocol, just like Xandros (Scalix)?

Regards,

Ben
