Default is mobile device access limited to the network version?

I have a client who has a treo 700w and needs to sync it with the server.

I'm hoping they won't be forced to buy the network version because of this.
There's only 6 users.

You can use it as an IMAP client but if you want to sync calendar and contacts then, yes, it's a Network Edition feature. Product features are detailed here.

Default a better idea

you could really have a leg up in the SMB arena if you were to offer mobile and outlook connector in a way less expensive version.

My client has six users and they need to sync their mobiles.

The cost of the network edition is way beyond realistic for six users.

now I'm stuck.

That's usually where hosted partners offer value and economies of scale.

Angry I see

so you have the partners price the service more expensive than your product.

What's the point?

I'll just have to write my own outlook connector and mobile syncing MAPI interface for zimbra open source. and I'll release it open source.

Default Contributors welcome!

If you're costing out 6 users, Perceiva seems to charge $770 for the first year and $720 each subsequent year. mindcentric seems to be charging about $700 for the first year and $600 each subsequent year. Some of the other HSPs may be less and some may be more -- these are just the first two I checked.

We don't tell HSPs how to price the product. If you can't find an HSP that fits your customer's price range, we regret that they've lost your business.

Incidentally, if you'd like to contribute to the OSS version, we welcome your submissions. I'm not sure that rewriting the over-the-air sync or the MAPI implementation is the best bang-for-your-buck use of your time, but one of the sometimes-great sometimes-frustrating things about open source is that people can work on whatever makes them happy.
